Richard has over 13 years' experience in IT and e-commerce. Beginning his career as a graduate trainee with Norwich Union (now Aviva), he worked as a project planner and developer before becoming E-commerce Configuration Manager, responsible for managing change across multiple locations, teams and servers.

As a co-founder of OMG, Richard has guided the group from its small-scale beginnings through to the present day. He laid the first foundations for OMG's development in 1999 when he launched UK Web Promotion, an SEO consultancy that subsequently became OMG Search. Two years later, he co-founded UK Internet Directories, which launched over 70 web directories and became one of the largest affiliates in the UK. In 2002, Richard launched OMG Network, the first UK network to provide dedicated account management to publishers and advertisers.

Nic Redfern, Chief Financial Officer

Nic qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young. He worked with a wide range of clients including Norwich Union, where he was seconded during preparation for flotation in 1997.

From 2000, as head of the Financial Analysis and Planning team at Virgin Money, Nic played a key role in the launches of the Virgin Credit Card in the UK and Virgin Money in Australia. He oversaw both the sale of Virgin's life insurance business and the restructuring of Virgin Money from a joint venture to a fully Virgin-owned entity, and also helped deliver substantial cost savings for the Virgin Group.

Nic joined OMG in 2004. His group-wide responsibilities cover all aspects of finance and accounting including contracts and commercials, compliance and HR. Nic also plays an active role in strategic planning and management and is responsible for the delivery of the group's international strategy.

Nic lives in Norwich and is married with two children.

Anthony James, Business Development Director

Anthony studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of East Anglia before travelling for a year through Africa, Australia and the US. He was then recruited to the PriceWaterhouseCoopers graduate training programme, joining their Global Risk Management practice, and spent three years working with diverse clients including Lloyds of London, Bacardi-Martini and Lambeth Borough Council.

At Cartezia, a digital business incubator and consultancy, Anthony worked as a headhunter building board and senior management teams for clients. Moving across to a client as Business Development Director, he helped to commercialise the first mobile in-car navigation system.

Anthony joined OMG in 2004 with a brief to expand OMG's client base and enable international expansion. He led the development of OMG into a leading UK affiliate network in the UK, using the group's premium account management capabilities as a basis to unlock new opportunities and build a client base of over 100 brands. Currently, Anthony's team works on deepening OMG's relationships with leading brands, either directly or in partnership with marketing agencies.

Anthony is married with two children and lives in Reigate.

Nathan Salter, Chief Operating Officer

Following a BA and masters degree in European Union with French, Nathan worked in policy representation for a chamber of commerce, with additional responsibilities for project management and organising events.

In 2000, Nathan began working part-time with OMG's founder Richard Syme. After a few months he joined the newly formed company as its first employee. Initially focusing on search marketing, he built a portfolio of clients and established OMG's search team. As the group grew, he took on more client-facing responsibilities while continuing to manage projects, oversee the office and expand the workforce. He also moved towards a more operational role, managing technical projects and building up the Project Delivery team.

Today, Nathan draws on his diverse experience as a founding team member to offer key contributions and influence across the group. In addition to general maintenance and servicing of OMG's core products, his key focus is on technical projects for OMG Network and European projects groupwide.

Nathan is married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family and cooking.

Giles Hunt, IT Director

Following further education, Giles began his career in 1999 at Virgin, where he worked as a web developer at Virgin Direct and Virgin Money. While there he created award-winning pension and ISA websites, as well as overseeing the process of combining of two major websites when Virgin Direct and Virgin Money merged into a single entity.

Giles joined OMG in 2001. Initially, his role was to help develop UK Web Promotion (later OMG Search) and provide the technical expertise to allow UK Internet Directories to become one of the UK's biggest affiliates. In 2002, as OMG moved into affiliate marketing, his focus moved to the creation of the company's unique affiliate management and tracking system.

Today, as IT Director, Giles is responsible for OMG's technical strategy and for coordinating the work of a growing development team across multiple products, languages and territories.

Giles lives in Norwich with his partner.

Mark Solway, Research and Development Director

Mark completed a BSc in International Business and Modern Languages before joining Esso, where he worked as an SAP Analyst and later in Library and Information Services. Having spent two years working in Japan and studying Japanese, Mark joined Crystal Decisions (subsequently Business Objects). He built up and then led the UK Globalisation and Localisation team, focusing particularly upon process automation, cross-site integration and the establishment of the UK International Quality Assurance team. Mark was subsequently responsible for project management across the UK R&D function.

Mark joined OMG in 2004 as IT Manager. His initial focus was on growing the development team, establishing process and preparing the system for multi-lingual and multi-currency requirements. His current role as R&D Director focuses on product research and liaison with new and existing clients. He plays a key role in the development of OMG Visione, identifying and exploring new avenues for commercial and technical development.

Mark lives in Norwich with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys hiking, foreign languages and tending his allotment.
