Background
For H.Samuel, our core objective was complementary activity: driving
high-quality incremental volume for the brand without eating into the volume
that the company generates through its own online marketing.
Strategy
The first
step was affiliate recruitment. We focused our efforts in two areas: affiliates
with strong SEO capabilities and larger affiliates who could potentially create
microsites focused on particular product types or ranges.
To boost brand
awareness, we developed a wide range of creative and editorial for affiliates to
use in their promotions. Visuals are available in a variety of sizes, ensuring
that there is always one that is suitable for the affiliate’s page design.
Wherever possible, creative includes specific consumer-offer messages, allowing
affiliates to target their individual audiences with eye-catching, compelling
content.
Bespoke deals with key affiliates have played an important role in the
campaign. In one initiative, affiliates promoted a competition in which
consumers could win an H.Samuel watch.
